We’re approaching the Assassin’s Creed Jade release date now that you can sign up for the beta – and it’s a game many will be keeping a close eye on. Although there is a lot going on within Assassin’s Creed franchise this year Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is one of the newest and most original parts in development. Much of this is due to the fact that it will be a mobile game. But more generally, there will be much to learn as to why Codename Jade may belong to one of best Assassin’s Creed gamesbut we’re slowly getting more information on the release and what exactly lies ahead.
Before Ubisoft Forward Live 2023, information about Assassin’s Creed Jadeite was pretty limited, especially with one teaser revealed. But now that we have the extra trailer, there’s a reasonable amount of information to unpack, especially regarding the setting and the new character, and what made it such a valuable addition to the franchise. Here’s everything we know so far Assassin’s Creed Jadeite.

What can I play it on? iOS and Android

Assassin’s Creed Jade release date and platforms
Information about Assassin’s Creed Jadeite is still quite limited, and the release window or specific date are just some of the information that we have yet to get. Closed beta testing for the mobile game is currently open, but otherwise it may be a while before we get a firm date.
However, with Assassin’s Creed Mirage AND Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR coming in late 2023, there’s more than enough content to deal with in the same series to push us through until the release window finally arrives.
As for the platforms, the game will be available on mobile devices, it will only be downloadable via the App Store for Apple devices or the Google Play Store for Android completely free of charge.
With an emphasis on offering authentic Assassin’s Creed experience in the mobile format, there is a high probability that it will become one of them best iphone games or one of the best Android games when fully released.
However, there are currently no plans for the game to get a console or PC port, although given the current rhetoric surrounding the first trailer, many gamers would love to see it eventually.

First teaser revealed Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade released in December 2022, giving the first glimpse into the game’s settings. Taking players back to 215 BC, we see what life was like in ancient China, and after a few cinematic shots of the location, we meet a mysterious killer, who we assume is the main character of the game. The full trailer can be seen below:
Assassin’s Creed Jade – history and setting
Assassin’s Creed Jadeite takes us to one of the most anticipated places for AC game: Ancient China. More precisely, in 215 BC, at the time of the first unified empire of the Quin dynasty and China.
Level Infinite Executive Producer Andrei Chan stated wa blog post published by Ubisoft that “This is a very exciting part of Chinese history. This is the establishment of essentially China’s first empire. It was also a time when the link between China and the rest of the world was stronger than ever.”
In this setting, you will assume the role of Xia, a brand new assassin in the series, who will be responsible for directing the game. Throughout Codename Jadeyou will have to protect your Xionan home from invaders while experiencing the trade and cultural exchange between East and West Xianyang.
There’s a lot to learn about how exactly the story will be portrayed over the course of the game, and the single trailer we captured for the first look at the scenery doesn’t give you much to go by. All we know is this Codename Jade is canonically set between the events of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey AND The beginning of Assassin’s Creedhowever, whether these events intertwine with Codename Jade’s content remains a mystery at the moment, at least until the release of the next trailer, which will provide a bit more insight.
Game Assassin’s Creed Jade
So is the information we have about the plot and setting Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, the information we have about the actual gameplay and mechanics of the game is currently very limited. That said, official website promises to provide an authentic Assassin’s Creed experience, with core mechanics such as parkour, climbing, and combat making up the vast majority of the game’s activity.
The in-game aspects shown in the latest trailer, while stated to be in development and subject to change, confirm the inclusion of traditional AC new mechanics. Mechanics like climbing up the side of a building and using stealth and height to your advantage when attacking seem to be very important when exploring the open world map.
With each assassin boasting a unique arsenal of weapons, Xia supports the formula by bringing unique Chinese spears, dual swords, and bows to the fight. Players can expect a mix of both distinctive and exciting new combat mechanics that make use of touchscreen controls on mobile devices, which will hopefully be covered in more detail in a future walkthrough or trailer.
As you travel, you’ll need to unravel dangerous conspiracies, hone your assassination skills, and learn more about Xia to develop your own skills, and with several landscapes highlighted in the trailer, there’s plenty of room to truly lose yourself in it.
Additionally, as the franchise’s first, players will be able to customize the appearance of their assassin, Xia. The official website states that Xia will be a “fully customizable avatar” to help immerse you in the game, but whether that means you’ll be able to create a brand new assassin with the same name or customization will be limited to pre-made ones face with more freedom in terms of cosmetic items is currently unclear.
